You will architect, build, and own the AWS infrastructure that keeps Duetto's 24/7 SaaS platform fast, secure, and always on. Your responsibilities include: architecting and implementing infrastructure for seamless migrations of critical systems while maintaining uptime and reliability; designing, building, and maintaining tooling and processes that enable SaaS products to scale and run themselves on AWS; partnering closely with developers to strengthen reliability, performance, security, and scalability of application architecture; building and maintaining critical infrastructure components for high availability and security; driving alignment across technical and non-technical teams to ensure infrastructure decisions serve the business; and participating in weekly on-call rotation as last line of defense, leading root cause analysis and driving permanent fixes.
You'll own meaningful infrastructure decisions rather than executing someone else's blueprint. New tooling choices are proposed with business cases and decided as a team. The company is AI-forward across all functions, and you'll be equipped to use AI for incident triage, Infrastructure-as-Code generation, and runbook authoring. You'll work at the intersection of serious infrastructure and an industry you care about, with real collaboration across developers and cross-functional teams rather than siloed ticket-filing. **Requirements:**
- 5+ years in Ops, DevOps, or SRE role with real system design and architecture experience
- Hands-on cloud infrastructure administration (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP acceptable)
- Engineering-level knowledge of networking and security
- Fluency in AWS ecosystem: IAM, VPC, EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, KMS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail
- Production experience with Terraform/Terragrunt
- Experience with Chef or Puppet
- Proficiency with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, and GitOps workflows
- Experience with DataDog, Prometheus, or Grafana for system monitoring
- Ability to read Java, Ruby, Bash/Zsh, HCL, Python, and JavaScript
**Strong candidates may also have:**
- Experience with ECS or EKS
- Exposure to SOC2 or secure-by-default practices
- Familiarity with L7 load balancing
