You will join the Data Services Team as a Senior Data Engineer, responsible for building and maintaining critical internal data infrastructure. Your primary focus will be developing and scaling a Feature Store alongside other data services that power the organization's analytics and machine learning capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing a Feature Store and other future data services
- Building and optimizing EL/ELT/ETL pipelines to handle high-volume transaction data
- Integrating new tools and technologies for data processing and storage
- Ensuring system reliability and performance at scale
- Collaborating with data science and backend teams to support analytics and ML initiatives
You will work with modern data infrastructure tools and cloud platforms, handling systems that process billions in annual transaction volume. The role requires strong system design thinking and the ability to build solutions that scale reliably.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, ML Engineer, or Backend Engineer
- Proven experience developing high-load, scalable data processing and storage systems
- Strong knowledge of event-driven systems and streaming pipelines
- Proficiency in Python with understanding of best practices
- Strong SQL skills and knowledge of SQL best practices
- System design expertise and architectural thinking
- Hands-on experience with: Airflow, Debezium, BigQuery or Clickhouse, PostgreSQL or CockroachDB, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, GCP
- Experience with REST APIs, gRPC, message brokers, and queues
BONUS SKILLS:
- Go development experience
- Experience with modern data storage systems (relational, MPP, NoSQL)
- Google Cloud Platform expertise
