Fluidstack is building civilization-scale AI compute infrastructure, acquiring power, designing and operating data centers globally. The company is focused on deploying frontier compute faster than anyone else, with teams spanning hardware and software.
You will build Fluidstack's insider risk and counterintelligence program from the ground up. This is a foundational role where you own the entire program end-to-end: operating model, strategic roadmap, and technical controls protecting some of the most targeted compute infrastructure in the world.
Key responsibilities include:
- Stand up the insider risk and counterintelligence program from zero, defining operating model, roadmap, and controls that protect model weights and frontier AI infrastructure from breach and exfiltration.
- Design and implement technical controls by collaborating across the security organization: work with detection engineering on monitoring and analytics, IT/infrastructure on identity and data controls, and physical security on the badge-to-bare-metal security seam.
- Manage insider risk incidents end-to-end with legal and HR, from initial signal through resolution.
- Develop the program's policy library and shepherd it through legal, HR, and leadership to adoption across the organization.
- Own stakeholder relationships with legal, HR, and the broader workforce; ensure the program remains credible, transparent, and well-understood.
The security team is securing the frontier of AI. Model weights training on Fluidstack's infrastructure represent the most valuable and most targeted artifacts in technology. A breach means the frontier walks out the door. Your threat surface is measured in gigawatts, and you're responsible for the physical and logical security of the most consequential technology in human history.
Fluidstack operates with full autonomy, insane urgency, first-principles reasoning, and a focus on building something that matters. You'll work in a high-intensity environment with long hours, driving everything forward as fast as possible.
REQUIREMENTS:
- You have built or rebuilt an insider risk program in a commercial environment more than once, and you understand which parts of the playbook survive contact with a private-sector workforce.
- You have a background in the intelligence community or adjacent national security mission, and have already translated counterintelligence tradecraft into corporate practice.
- You have shipped technical controls by working through teams that don't report to you: detection, identity, IT, physical security.
- You have written monitoring and investigations policy that was adopted, surviving scrutiny from legal and HR.
- You work fluently with legal and HR, and can communicate sensitive incidents in their respective languages.
