Salary: USD 195,000 - 225,000 / annual
Retell AI is a voice AI company transforming customer experience for enterprises including CVS/Aetna, American Airlines, Lenovo, and Grab. The company has scaled to $80M ARR with a team of 50, backed by Y Combinator and Alt Capital, and is valued at over $1.5B. Retell is building a modern CX platform where entire contact centers are powered by AI agents that act as frontline agents, QA analysts, and managers.
You will be Retell's first Senior Compliance Manager, reporting directly to the founder and working closely with Engineering and Sales. This role owns the company's security and compliance program end to end, directly enabling enterprise and healthcare deals that drive revenue.
Key responsibilities include:
- Running SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 programs end to end, including managing auditors and the GRC platform
- Answering security questionnaires and RFPs quickly and maintaining the trust center
- Owning policies, vendor risk management, and training; tracking new regulations affecting voice AI
- Joining enterprise sales calls to answer security and compliance questions
You will be evaluated on precision in controls and evidence, ability to communicate clearly with both engineers and security teams, spotting risks proactively, and building a compliance program rather than maintaining one.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have:
- 4+ years in compliance, GRC, or security audit
- Personal ownership of at least one SOC 2 Type II audit
- Experience at a VC-backed SaaS/AI company or Big 4/audit firm doing SOC 2 or ISO work
Nice to have:
- CISA, CISM, or CRISC certification
- Hands-on experience with Vanta or Drata
- HIPAA experience with healthcare customers
