Arista Networks seeks a Senior Commodity Manager to develop and execute commodity strategies for Thermal/Heat Sinks (and optionally Front End Power Supplies) within the supply chain organization. This role is central to driving time-to-market, ensuring supply continuity, and achieving cost reduction initiatives across the company's networking hardware portfolio.
You will own the complete strategic sourcing lifecycle for assigned commodities: spend analysis, supplier assessment and selection, commodity strategy formulation and implementation, and ongoing supplier relationship management. Key responsibilities include building cost models (TAC/should cost) to validate strategies and understand cost drivers; coordinating with Engineering, NPI (New Product Introduction), and suppliers to ensure parts with long product lifetimes and solid supply availability; and managing supplier relationships on behalf of Arista to develop a robust, globally competitive supply base.
You will drive cost reduction initiatives by identifying opportunities, negotiating contracts that balance hard money (price, volume discounts) and soft money (expertise, technical support) within a Total Acquisition Cost framework, and ensuring annual and year-over-year cost reduction targets are met. You will also support NPI teams in meeting target costs and establishing program cost models, monitor and report on priority projects and savings, and mentor junior supply chain personnel on strategic sourcing processes. Additionally, you will ensure appropriate performance measurement (Technology, Quality, Cost, Delivery) of the supply base and provide feedback to suppliers.
