Redox is a healthcare interoperability platform that connects and powers real-time data exchange across 12,000+ systems and organizations, processing over 1.2 billion messages monthly. The company serves health tech vendors, providers, payers, EHRs, and life sciences customers.
As Senior Commercial Counsel, you will be the primary legal partner for Redox's commercial operations, reporting to the General Counsel. Your core responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts with customers and vendors. You will build and maintain a knowledge management system to document contracting learnings and best practices for the organization. You will also lead initiatives to create efficiency in the contracting process, including developing self-serve options for the sales team and other business units. Additionally, you will support legal functions across compliance, customer success, and employment matters as needed.
You will work closely with the sales team as your primary partner in deal negotiation and closing, collaborate with the General Counsel on strategy and oversight, and engage with compliance, customer success, and employment teams on cross-functional legal support.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience independently drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts
- Excellent legal writing skills with the ability to communicate complex terms clearly and concisely
- Sound judgment operating in ambiguity and making decisions without clear precedent
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and make decisions within parameters set with leadership
- Strong prioritization and time management skills across a demanding caseload
- Confidence to ask questions and seek input, balanced with self-awareness to push your own limits
- Proven business acumen and commercial judgment
- Track record of building trusted relationships cross-functionally and directly with customers
- Intellectual curiosity and problem-solving orientation
- Comfort operating with urgency and pace in a fast-moving environment
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
- Fluency with AI tools (e.g., Claude) to drive efficiency in contract work and knowledge management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word redlining functions and Zoom
NICE TO HAVE:
