Salary: USD 147,000 - 203,000 / annual
Oura is seeking a Senior Business Systems Engineer to join its Business Systems team, focused on raising the bar on quality and scalability of custom solutions within the NetSuite environment. This is a hands-on development role for someone who understands enterprise systems and prioritizes systemic fixes over quick patches. Oura's NetSuite environment is advanced and evolves rapidly with frequent deployments across a wide integration surface including Workato, Subscription Billing, 3PL partners, Payment Processors, and Enterprise Service APIs. You will partner closely with internal Business Analysts within Finance and Supply Chain to deliver solutions that enable new core business capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define, document, and execute NetSuite development tasks in an agile Jira-managed process
- Deliver first-class SuiteScript code and designs adhering to software development best practices, with bias toward root-cause fixes
- Design and implement unit, integration, and regression test coverage for critical customizations and integrations
- Use AI-assisted and agentic development tools to accelerate SuiteScript, integration, and test development, applying design-first practices
- Help define team standards for AI-assisted changes, including change-management evidence for SOX/ITGC controls
- Contribute reusable context (architecture decision records, coding standards, integration documentation) to improve engineer and AI tool effectiveness
- Partner with NetSuite Administrator to audit and govern platform configuration, ensuring changes are documented and reversible
- Develop, architect, and support scalable integrations between NetSuite and other business systems
- Collaborate with NetSuite business users across Supply Chain, Logistics, Financial Systems, and Member Experience
Requirements:
- 4+ years NetSuite development and/or administration experience
- Experience working in Agile methodology and task management systems
- Hands-on experience across NetSuite script types (User Event, Client, Map/Reduce, Suitelet, RESTlet, etc.)
- Experience writing automated tests in any language or framework
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) with sound judgment about when to trust, verify, or reject AI output
- Understanding of core business processes and best practices (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay) and basic accounting principles
- Extensive integration experience (iPaaS, API, or direct point-to-point) with solid understanding of system authentication methods
- Comfort working within NetSuite's configuration/admin layer (roles, permissions, saved searches)
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, excellent communication and collaboration skills, with judgment to push back on scope or timeline
