Salary: USD 119,000 - 165,000 / annual
Chime is seeking a Strategic Finance Senior Associate to join the Finance team and help shape the company's business and financial strategy through high-impact initiatives.
In this role, you will collaborate with the Strategic Finance team to build unit economic frameworks that drive continuous improvement of key business metrics. You'll work cross-functionally with Product, Analytics, Risk, Growth, Accounting, and Corporate Finance to evaluate the ROI of products, features, and strategic initiatives. This is a high-visibility position on a tight-knit team that regularly interacts with senior executives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining unit economic frameworks to guide strategic decision-making
- Evaluating economic viability and driving strategy for new and emerging products
- Building strong relationships with cross-functional teams to advise on financial impact and business performance
- Managing financial forecasts using tools like Pigment and advising executive leadership on business unit and product performance
- Contributing to board/investor materials, public-facing disclosures, and external reporting
- Partnering with Analytics to create dashboards and KPIs for tracking product health and evaluating experimental results
- Championing AI and automation adoption to improve forecast processes, standardize reporting, and reduce manual effort
You will need strong analytical and communication skills—the ability to understand complex details while maintaining sight of broader strategy. Effective communication across all organizational levels is essential, particularly translating complex financial results for non-finance partners.
Requirements:
- 4-7 years of relevant experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or business intelligence (prior experience at high-growth technology or fintech companies preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
- Demonstrated experience building driver-based forecasts (volume × rate, unit economics, cohort models) with ability to validate drivers and diagnose forecast vs. actual variance
- Expert-level proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; ability to build scalable, efficient, auditable models with clear assumptions
- Superior communication skills and ability to collaborate across all organizational levels
- Strong sense of ownership and comfort with ambiguity
- Process-improvement mindset with demonstrated ability to leverage AI and automation to scale finance workflows
- Team-oriented mindset and positive attitude
- Bonus experience: payments, banking, or money-movement economics; cohort analysis; Pigment, NetSuite, Looker, Snowflake
