As a Senior Associate in Legal AI, you will shape the foundation of bayshore's product and engineering culture. You'll work directly with the founders and customers, ship fast, and make decisions that define how the stack, product, and team evolve. This is a high-ownership role with real impact from day one.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work directly with clients' management to map their processes and distill requirements
- Understand the decision logic of regulations and clients' internal policies
- Redesign legal workflows with an AI-first approach
- Encode legal rulesets into code that AI can execute
- Automate work that previously required armies of compliance officers and lawyers
- Influence product direction through tight feedback loops with client users

REQUIREMENTS:
- Law degree with outstanding performance (vollbefriedigend or equivalent international grade, or other documentation of outstanding expertise)
- Relevant work experience in law or law-adjacent fields (especially pharma, defense, or finance)
- Belief that AI can automate many aspects of legal work
- Comfortable using computers and instructing them using programming languages (company will teach legal-specific language)
- Ability to move fast, think clearly, and take ownership
- Preference for simplicity over abstraction and shipping over talking
- Strong client-facing skills with business sense and focus on delivering value
- Thrives in early-stage startups with high ownership, high speed, and ambiguity tolerance
