Scalable Capital, a leading European fintech platform with over €30 billion in assets under management and 1+ million clients, is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join their Vienna office.
You will work alongside a highly motivated team of software engineers and academics to design and implement user interfaces that make complex financial services accessible to retail investors. The role offers significant autonomy to implement, improve, and suggest technical and product improvements across the Android platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement visually rich, user-centric mobile experiences
- Build and own the full Android app lifecycle from ideation through Play Store delivery
- Write clean, testable, well-documented code with security as a first-class concern
- Experiment with new Android technologies and frameworks to maximize platform capabilities
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver innovative financial services
- Stay current with the evolving Android technology landscape

Qualifications:
- University degree in computer science, engineering, natural sciences, or equivalent professional qualification
- Strong experience with Kotlin, RxJava, Coroutines, Compose, Dagger, and GraphQL APIs
- Strong analytical thinking in both technical and product domains
- Demonstrated passion for delivering excellent UX and working with custom UI implementations
- Excellent communication skills across engineering, product, and stakeholder audiences
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes in the Android framework
- Interest in other technology stacks
- Prior fintech experience is a plus but not required; interest in investing or familiarity with Scalable Capital's platform is valued
