Razorpay, India's leading full-stack fintech company processing $180+ billion in annualized transactions, is seeking a Senior Analyst for Group Compliance to join its Risk Management function. The role is based in Bengaluru and focuses on risk identification, monitoring, and management across Razorpay's IFSC entity (a Payment Service Provider regulated by the International Financial Services Centres Authority).
You will work closely with Operations and Compliance teams to implement IFSCA's risk-based approach, covering business risk assessment, customer risk assessment, and enterprise-wide risk assessment from an AML-CFT and KYC perspective. You will support the designated official at the IFSC level in ensuring payment service activities align with Board-approved risk management policies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying, assessing, and monitoring business, customer, and enterprise-wide risks in line with IFSCA requirements and entity policies
- Monitoring transactions for unusual or suspicious patterns, investigating system-generated alerts, and escalating red flags within defined timelines
- Conducting sanction and watchlist screening of customers and transactions, ensuring timely and accurate closure of screening alerts
- Reviewing and managing fraud cases and chargebacks, identifying patterns and trends, and recommending controls to mitigate recurring risks
- Preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) with complete supporting documentation and submitting them to the Compliance Officer accurately and within prescribed timelines
- Supporting business risk assessment, customer risk assessment, and enterprise-wide risk assessment from an AML-CFT and KYC standpoint in coordination with Compliance
- Partnering with Operations and Compliance teams to ensure consistent implementation of risk management practices across payment service activities
- Ensuring adherence to approved risk management policies and procedures, and maintaining accurate records and MIS for internal review and regulatory reporting

REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field. CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) certification is an added advantage.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in risk management, AML/KYC, transaction monitoring, sanction screening, or fraud and chargeback management—preferably within a bank, NBFC, payment aggregator/PSP, or fintech organization.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of AML-CFT, KYC, and sanctions screening frameworks and processes; familiarity with IFSCA regulations applicable to payment service providers or general knowledge of RBI/payment industry regulatory frameworks; hands-on experience with transaction monitoring and case management systems; strong working knowledge of MS Excel for data analysis.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and investigative skills with close attention to detail; clear written communication skills for report writing and SAR documentation; ability to work independently and coordinate effectively across Operations, Compliance, and other functions; high ethical standards and integrity.
