Kela is a secure, open platform enabling rapid integration of commercial and military systems for Western defense. The company combines Israeli innovation with global mission impact, backed by leading investors.
The Robotics department works across unmanned ground vehicles, humanoids, quadrupeds, and drones. The team combines classical, modular policy stacks with modern physical AI—integrating and fine-tuning open-source foundation models, and designing and training custom perception, planning, and control modules where commercial solutions are insufficient.
You will join as a Senior Algorithm Developer, responsible for taking algorithmic problems from concept through reliable field deployment. This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise in robotics algorithms, control systems, and AI/ML integration. You will work on perception pipelines, motion planning, control algorithms, and the systems integration needed to make autonomous systems work reliably in real-world defense applications.
The ideal candidate thinks big, moves fast, and has a proven track record shipping complex algorithmic systems to production. You should be comfortable working across the full stack—from mathematical formulation and simulation to hardware integration and field testing.
Requirements:
- Proven experience developing and deploying algorithms in robotics, autonomous systems, or related domains
- Strong background in control theory, motion planning, perception, or physical AI
- Demonstrated ability to take problems from whiteboard to reliable field-deployed systems
- Experience with modern ML frameworks and fine-tuning foundation models (a plus)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
- Track record of shipping production systems
