Salary: USD 140,000 - 180,000 / annual
FourKites is an AI-driven supply chain visibility platform serving 1,600+ global brands. The company processes over 3.2 million supply chain events daily and is actively building AI agent capabilities to automate supply chain operations.
As a Senior AI Engineer, you will join the data integrations and AI agent team, working on production AI agents including a support automation agent (handling 60-70% of customer tickets), a voice agent for carrier communication, and an end-to-end carrier onboarding agent. You'll work across the full stack (~75-80% backend, ~20-25% frontend) using Python, Java/GoLang, LangGraph, React, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, build, and productionize AI agents and workflows using agentic frameworks like LangGraph
- Develop, test, and maintain backend applications in Python and Java or GoLang
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented code across the full SDLC (development, QA, release)
- Design and implement data models and database schemas
- Collaborate with frontend teams to integrate backend with UI
- Perform code reviews and ensure code quality standards
- Troubleshoot and debug applications, including AI agent workflows in production
- Work with DevOps to deploy and manage applications in production (Kubernetes)
- Stay current with new technologies and industry trends in AI/agentic systems
You'll work closely with the US-based team and customers to shape the future of logistics for major corporations like Walmart and Cardinal Health.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience as a Backend/Software Developer with hands-on exposure to AI/agentic systems (deep AI expertise not required, but comfort in the ecosystem is expected)
- Python (mandatory)
- Java or GoLang (proficiency in at least one)
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with LangGraph or similar agentic frameworks
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB)
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React)
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes
- Full Agile SDLC experience (development, QA, release)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong Git knowledge (branches, submodules, rebasing) and Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- AWS or other cloud services experience is a plus
