This Senior Accounting Specialist role is based in Istanbul at iyzico's Altunizade headquarters and operates under a flexible hybrid working model (iyzico Homequarters). The position is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on managing core accounting operations and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and approve purchase invoices, obtain necessary approvals, and ensure proper filing per regulations
- Prepare journal entries for purchase invoices and employee expenses
- Manage accounts receivable (A/R) processes and supplier payment workflows
- Verify supplier balances prior to payment and prepare supplier payment lists
- Cross-check sales invoices transferred from payment systems to accounting systems
- Prepare and issue non-automated invoices manually with timely submission
- Perform e-invoice, e-archive, and e-ledger controls
- Manage and follow up on company insurance policies, including reimbursement requests
- Set up Logo project distribution keys and perform related controls
- Maintain fixed asset and depreciation records
- Prepare tax declarations and serve as main point of contact during tax audits
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives
The role requires deep expertise in Turkish accounting practices, tax regulations, and accounting systems. You will work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple workstreams and meeting tight deadlines while maintaining strong communication with internal stakeholders.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in Accounting/Finance
- Strong knowledge of Turkish Local GAAP and tax regulations
- Proficiency in Logo Tiger and SAP accounting systems
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with structured, analytical approach to problem-solving
- Knowledge of Teknopark accounting practices (plus)
- SMMM certification (plus)
- Good command of written and spoken English (plus)
