Relativity Space is building rockets (Terran R vehicle) to deliver payloads to orbit. The company is at a pivotal stage—early enough to shape product and culture, but far enough along that the vehicle is tangible and gaining momentum. The Accounting team spans tax and compliance, financial operations, general ledger, and business data strategy. You will be a trusted partner to the business, not just a processor, collaborating deeply across Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Corporate Accounting. In this role, you will own day-to-day accounting for a complex manufacturing site, including inventory, manufacturing costs, labor, fixed assets, capital projects, accruals, and reconciliations. You will prepare journal entries, balance-sheet reconciliations, and variance explanations, and deliver assigned close activities on the monthly, quarterly, and annual calendar. You will support manufacturing cost accounting: standard costs, labor and machine rates, overhead absorption, bills of material, work centers, routings, and work-order review. You will analyze purchase price, usage, efficiency, volume, scrap, and rework variances. You will reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger and support cycle counts and physical inventories, including variance analysis, adjustments, and evaluation of excess or obsolete material. You will handle fixed assets and capital projects end to end—capital versus expense determinations, additions, transfers, disposals, depreciation, and timely release of completed projects from construction in progress. You will partner daily with cross-functional teams to investigate transaction issues, execute controls, support audits, and drive process, master-data, and ERP improvements. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline - 5+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing preferred) - Hands-on experience with manufacturing accounting: standard costs, labor and machine rates, overhead absorption, bills of material, work centers, routings, and work-order review - Proficiency with Infor M3, LN, SAP, Oracle, or comparable manufacturing ERP, along with cycle counts, physical inventories, BOMs, work orders, or routings - Exposure to a SOX-controlled or public-company environment - Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or using automation and AI to strengthen accounting processes (preferred)
