Anysphere, maker of Cursor (an AI-native code editor), is seeking a Security GRC Engineer to design, implement, and scale the company's governance, risk, and compliance program. This role blends technical implementation with strategic program development, directly shaping how the company builds trust with customers.
You will lead automation of compliance workflows, build self-serve tools to enable go-to-market teams, and ensure products and infrastructure meet the highest security standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Automate evidence gathering and continuous control testing to streamline compliance processes.
- Own relationships with audit firms and customers, explaining the security and AI governance program and earning their trust.
- Conduct security compliance reviews for new products, features, and vendors.
- Support Legal in contract negotiations by providing timely, accurate guidance on security and AI governance terms.
- Support incident response communications by drafting and reviewing customer-facing updates during security incidents.
- Build self-serve documentation and tools to answer customer security and AI governance inquiries.
- Maintain corporate security policies.
You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Legal, GTM, Trust & Safety, auditors, and regulators. The organization is flat and talent-dense, valuing truth-seeking, passion, creativity, spirited debate, and shipping code.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with GRC frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, and AIUC-1.
- Ability to trace external claims back to actual product and infrastructure configuration; comfort using coding agents and curiosity to confirm alignment and flag issues affecting security and AI governance.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with Engineering, Legal, GTM, Trust & Safety, auditors, and regulators.
