Squads is a financial technology company building products and APIs for the stablecoin economy. The company operates Squads Multisig (securing over $10 billion in assets for 450+ teams on Solana), Altitude (a global business account for financial operations), and Fuse (stablecoins and tokenized assets for personal finance). Investors include Haun Ventures, Multicoin Capital, Electric Capital, and Coinbase Ventures.
You will own identity and endpoint security across Squads, working closely with the Head of Security. This is a hands-on role combining day-to-day systems operations with strategic security program development.
Key responsibilities:
IDENTITY & ACCESS: Administer the identity provider and SSO, enforce MFA and phishing-resistant authentication, improve access grant/revocation workflows, build periodic access reviews applying least privilege principles, and manage provisioning/offboarding for employees and contractors.
ENDPOINTS & IT OPERATIONS: Own MDM and EDR coverage across the device fleet with clear configuration standards and security baselines, handle device provisioning and access requests, and automate repetitive security and IT workflows.
RISK & RESPONSE: Partner on vendor risk assessments, evaluate new SaaS tools and AI integrations before adoption, act as first responder for identity and endpoint incidents (investigate, contain, document, escalate), and help define security policies as the program matures.
You'll spot attack vectors through weak access paths or unmanaged devices before they become incidents. You distinguish real risks from theoretical ones and communicate recommendations clearly. You're comfortable handling both tactical requests (access issues, laptop provisioning) and strategic improvements (company-wide controls) in the same day. You write guidance that non-technical teammates can follow and stay calm under pressure during incident response.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Hands-on experience operating an enterprise identity platform (SSO, MFA, access policies)
- Experience managing MDM and EDR tooling across a device fleet
- Experience responding to security incidents, compromises, or suspected breaches
- Ability to assess vendor and integration risk, including AI tool risks
- Scripting ability in Python or Bash for automation and tooling
- Strong written communication and independent judgment
- Plus: blockchain/Web3 threat knowledge, cloud security, SIEM and detection engineering, or AI agents in security operations
