Namespace Labs is a developer infrastructure platform that accelerates build times and CI/CD workflows for engineering teams worldwide. The company has built a solution that dramatically speeds up builds, tests, and deployments by integrating seamlessly with existing developer tools and workflows.
As a Security Engineer, you will own and strengthen security across Namespace's systems, network, and infrastructure. You'll work closely with engineering and operations teams to identify vulnerabilities, build security measures and best practices, and ensure security is embedded into the company's build and operational processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and build firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS) to protect servers, networks, and systems
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to evaluate technologies and core systems for weaknesses
- Develop security measures to detect and respond to real-time threats and vulnerabilities
- Establish security-first guidelines and best practices for the entire organization
- Collaborate with operations, developers, and other stakeholders to embed a one-team approach to security
- Support the sales team with security questionnaires and technical security requirements from customers

Requirements:
- Strong security engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience securing production infrastructure, systems, and networks
- Experience with network security, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, vulnerability management, and threat detection and response
- Ability to identify security risks and translate them into pragmatic technical solutions
- Strong understanding of security best practices across modern cloud and infrastructure environments
- Ability to work closely with engineering and operations teams and embed security into existing systems and workflows
- Bias toward execution and ownership, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment
