Zero Hash, a Series D crypto and stablecoin infrastructure platform, is seeking a Security Architect to report to the CISO. This role ensures that security requirements are integrated across all aspects of enterprise architecture, including reference models, segment and solution architectures, and systems supporting the organization's mission. The Security Architect will have high visibility and direct responsibility for designing and maintaining security systems, driving process refinement, enabling cross-team collaboration, and managing stakeholder relationships.
Key responsibilities include implementing CISO-defined strategy with input on strategic direction; reviewing supplier and partner security profiles; managing security tooling and licenses; mapping security initiatives to risk and maturity models; maintaining industry knowledge of emerging tactics and solutions; architecting and implementing security solutions for cloud network environments in collaboration with engineering teams; developing requirements and standards for security operations, threat detection, and incident response; conducting system tests and continuous monitoring; establishing disaster recovery procedures; responding to security incidents with thorough post-event analysis; collaborating with product and engineering teams during the SDLC to ensure secure design and implementation; leveraging threat models to identify gaps; performing security reviews of infrastructure, products, and services; testing web3 and web2 applications for vulnerabilities; developing secure coding standards and training; researching blockchain-specific vulnerabilities; providing technical expertise on cloud security and blockchain trends; implementing and maintaining access controls and identity management; supporting tooling evaluations and rollouts; and supporting the CISO and Security team on additional projects as needed.
This position carries responsibility for both blockchain and non-blockchain security architecture, with high visibility across the organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 10+ years of experience designing and implementing security infrastructure services in AWS and other security solutions (IAM, EDR, MDM, SIEM, KMS, PAM)
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in blockchain security
• Experience in AppSec including SAST, DAST, open vulnerability management, and pen testing
• Thorough understanding of industry and corporate technology standards for security operations
• Experience developing cybersecurity and IT architectures
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership and work with cross-functional teams managing multiple projects simultaneously under pressure
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear and concise written and oral communication with strong presentation skills to technical and non-technical audiences
• Deep experience with identity management solutions, trends, and practice
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: CloudTrail, CloudWatch, SecurityHub, GuardDuty, Inspector, Shield, WAF, Secrets Manager, Lambda
• Strong understanding of secrets management and confidential computing
• Familiarity with serverless compute (AWS Lambda) and container implementations (EKS, Kubernetes)
• Experience leading design and security reviews of cloud-based systems
• Familiarity with security concerns around language models, autonomous agents, machine learning, and AI-augmented systems
• Ability to work closely with software, SRE, and cloud engineers
• Software development experience (preferred)
• CISSP, OSCP, GIAC, and/or AWS Certified Security Specialty (preferred)
