Jitterbit, a market-leading Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) and API Management solution provider, is seeking a Senior SDET Engineer to architect, implement, and continuously deliver testing tools and infrastructure at scale. You will collaborate with an agile team to design and build scalable automation frameworks for both front-end and back-end components. You'll work with modern technologies including Node.js, WebdriverIO, TypeScript, pytest, and Python to create high-quality test software and reporting solutions. Your work will integrate seamlessly into the CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Selenium Grid, Docker, and related DevOps toolchains. You'll be exposed to diverse technology endpoints including MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, MS Dynamics CRM, Salesforce, NetSuite, and various protocols (REST, SOAP, FTP, HTTP, XML). The role emphasizes treating automated testing as a first-class software development effort—building maintainable, production-quality test infrastructure rather than just writing tests. This is a remote position with a distributed team across time zones. You'll need to demonstrate strong ownership, proactive communication, and flexibility to support cross-timezone collaboration and critical releases. The company values technical curiosity, self-motivation, and a passion for quality and continuous improvement. REQUIREMENTS: - 4+ years as a Software Engineer in Test with hands-on experience designing, building, and evolving scalable automation frameworks from the ground up - Proven track record transforming manual test coverage into maintainable, high-value automated test suites - Strong experience with modern frameworks and tools: Node.js, Angular, WebdriverIO, Jasmine/Mocha, Selenium, PyTest, or comparable technologies - Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar languages; ability to write clean, maintainable, production-quality test code - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments as an embedded Quality Engineer - Exposure to iPaaS, SaaS, or other cloud-based platforms; understanding of distributed systems and integrations - Hands-on experience testing APIs (REST/SOAP), working with JSON/XML payloads, and validating integrations with relational databases, CRM/ERP systems, and third-party platforms - Comfortable with Postman, Jenkins, Docker, VirtualBox/Hyper-V, npm/yarn, JMeter, JIRA, GitHub, and related DevOps toolchains - Experience leveraging AI tools to improve test generation, code quality, analysis, or productivity - Comfortable reading vendor API documentation and navigating complex integration landscapes - Clear, confident verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate risk and advocate for quality - Willingness to flex hours when needed for cross-timezone collaboration and critical releases
