Jitterbit, a market-leading Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) and API Management solution provider recognized in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for seven consecutive years, is seeking an experienced SDET Engineer to architect, implement, and continuously deliver testing tools and infrastructure at scale. In this role, you will collaborate with agile teams to design and build scalable automation frameworks for both front-end and back-end components. You'll work with modern technologies including Node.js, WebdriverIO, TypeScript, pytest, and Python to create maintainable, high-value automated test suites. Your responsibilities include integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Selenium Grid, and Docker, while working closely with DevOps teams. You'll be exposed to diverse technology endpoints including MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Salesforce, NetSuite, MS Dynamics CRM, and integration protocols such as REST, SOAP, FTP, HTTP, and XML. The role emphasizes treating automated testing as a software development discipline—building test software and reporting solutions that enable developers to continuously deliver features with confidence. This is an opportunity to work on a mission-driven platform transforming how customers use API creation within business-critical processes. You'll influence design decisions, improve testability across teams, and help drive quality throughout the development lifecycle in a distributed, remote-first environment. REQUIREMENTS: - 4+ years as a Software Engineer in Test with hands-on experience designing, building, and evolving scalable automation frameworks from the ground up - Proven track record transforming manual test coverage into maintainable, high-value automated test suites - Strong experience with modern frameworks and tools: Node.js, Angular, WebdriverIO, Jasmine/Mocha, Selenium, PyTest, or comparable technologies - Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar languages; ability to write clean, production-quality test code - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments as an embedded Quality Engineer - Exposure to iPaaS, SaaS, or cloud-based platforms; understanding of distributed systems and integration complexity - Hands-on experience testing APIs (REST/SOAP), working with JSON/XML payloads, and validating integrations with relational databases, CRM/ERP systems, and third-party platforms - Comfortable with DevOps tooling: Postman, Jenkins, Docker, VirtualBox/Hyper-V, npm/yarn, JMeter, JIRA, GitHub - Experience leveraging AI tools to improve test generation, code quality, analysis, or productivity - Strong remote collaboration skills across time zones with demonstrated ownership and proactive communication - Clear verbal and written communication; ability to articulate risk, advocate for quality, and partner with engineers, product managers, and leadership - Willingness to flex hours to support cross-time-zone collaboration and critical releases
