Jitterbit, a market-leading Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) and API Management solution provider, is seeking a Senior SDET Engineer to architect, implement, and continuously deliver testing tools and infrastructure for both front-end and back-end components.
You will collaborate with an agile team to build scalable test automation frameworks using modern technologies such as Node.js, WebdriverIO, TypeScript, pytest, and Python. Your work will span testing across diverse endpoints including MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, MS Dynamics CRM, Salesforce, NetSuite, and various protocols (REST, SOAP, FTP, HTTP, XML). You will integrate tests into the CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Selenium Grid, Docker, and similar tools, working closely with DevOps teams.
The role emphasizes treating test automation as a software development discipline—building maintainable test software and reporting solutions rather than just writing tests. You will be expected to stay current with automation testing trends, experiment with new ideas, and bring a quality-first mindset to the platform. This is an opportunity to help re-imagine integration solutions that delight customers and improve engineering team performance.
The company offers career development, mentorship, and a flexible, remote-friendly culture. You will work with distributed teams across time zones and have exposure to complex integration landscapes and SaaS platform validation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years as a Software Engineer in Test with hands-on experience designing, building, and evolving scalable automation frameworks from the ground up
- Proven track record transforming manual test coverage into maintainable, high-value automated test suites
- Strong experience with modern frameworks and tools: Node.js, Angular, WebdriverIO, Jasmine/Mocha, Selenium, PyTest, or comparable technologies
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar languages; ability to write clean, production-quality test code
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments as an embedded Quality Engineer
- Exposure to iPaaS, SaaS, or cloud-based platforms; understanding of distributed systems and integrations
- Hands-on experience testing APIs (REST/SOAP), working with JSON/XML payloads, and validating integrations with relational databases, CRM/ERP systems, and third-party platforms
- Comfortable with tools: Postman, Jenkins, Docker, VirtualBox/Hyper-V, npm/yarn, JMeter, JIRA, GitHub, and DevOps toolchains
- Experience leveraging AI tools to improve test generation, code quality, analysis, or productivity
- Comfortable reading vendor API documentation and navigating complex integration landscapes independently
- Experienced working with distributed teams across time zones; strong ownership, communication, and proactive collaboration
- Clear, confident verbal and written communication; ability to articulate risk and advocate for quality
- Willingness to flex hours to support cross-time-zone collaboration and critical releases
