Ethos (Nasdaq: $LIFE) is a leading life insurance technology company transforming how life insurance is bought, sold, and underwritten through a three-sided platform serving consumers, agents, and carriers. The company offers instant, accessible products with no medical exams, democratizing access to life insurance. You will design, build, and support custom applications and integrations on Salesforce that power the sales, customer experience, and partnership teams. This is full-lifecycle work: requirements, design, build, test, deploy, and support. The team works source-driven and Git-based, releasing through automated CI/CD pipelines rather than large quarterly releases. Key areas of focus include: - Event integrations: Customer and policy events from the product platform update Salesforce in near real time and sync to sales and marketing systems - Partner APIs: APIs for partners and internal services to manage agent and partner data in Salesforce - Consent and compliance: Contact preferences and Do-Not-Contact requests kept consistent across communication systems - Sales and service tooling: Apps, automation, and routing for sales agents and service teams Responsibilities include building reliable event-driven integrations that handle duplicates and late events; building and maintaining REST APIs and outbound callouts; writing Apex, LWC, and Flow solutions; bulkifying code to work at volume within governor limits; protecting personal and health data through proper sharing and access controls; designing integrations with Named Credentials, OAuth 2.0, Platform Events, and Change Data Capture; writing comprehensive tests; managing deployments through Git-based CI/CD; and supporting production systems by triaging issues and fixing root causes. You'll work with Salesforce Administrators, business analysts, data engineers, and product engineering teams as part of the Enterprise Systems team. Tech stack: Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, Apex, LWC, Flow, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, GitHub with automated CI/CD, Snowflake, Slack, Jira. QUALIFICATIONS: - Typically 5+ years of Salesforce development experience (not admin/config work alone), or equivalent evidence of delivering and supporting production systems - Strong Apex, SOQL, bulk processing, asynchronous processing, and automated testing skills - Experience building REST or event-driven integrations that handle duplicate messages, retries, and partial failures - Ability to build and debug Flow and LWC (modern JavaScript, ES6+) solutions, and explain when Apex is the better choice - Experience with Salesforce data models, sharing, object and field access, Salesforce CLI, Git, and automated deployments - Ability to investigate production failures, review code, and explain technical decisions to business teams - Proficiency using AI coding tools and validating their output for correctness, security, and maintainability Nice to have: trigger frameworks and layered Apex design patterns; experience integrating Salesforce with customer data platforms, contact-center systems, marketing tools, or identity providers; insurance or financial services experience with agent/partner distribution; consent and privacy compliance knowledge (TCPA, CCPA); Salesforce Platform Developer II certification.
