As a Royalty Data Specialist, you will own a critical operational workflow: transforming raw royalty statements from major distributors and DSPs into reliable, structured, and actionable data. This role combines analytics, operations, and process improvement, requiring you to think strategically about speed, automation, data quality, and scalability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Review, validate, and process music royalty statements from major distributors and DSPs
- Investigate inconsistencies, missing information, and data quality issues
- Transform complex financial reports into standardized datasets used across the company
- Build Python tools to automate repetitive workflows
- Identify opportunities to improve processing speed, accuracy, and scalability
- Work closely with engineers to build internal tools that streamline statement processing
- Collaborate with Investment and Research teams to ensure processed data supports pricing and underwriting decisions
- Monitor operational metrics and recommend improvements
- Help design new workflows as Duetti scales
You will work closely with Engineering, Research, Investment, Finance, and Product teams. The role emphasizes ownership, measurable impact, and a mindset of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with Python for data manipulation and automation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Comfortable working with large datasets and identifying anomalies
- Ability to balance accuracy with speed in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
- Curious mindset with a passion for continuously improving processes
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
Nice to have:
- Experience working with financial reports or operational datasets
- Experience with ETL pipelines or data engineering workflows
- Familiarity with Google Sheets, Excel, or data visualization tools
