The Risk function at Revolut operates across all business functions, products, and regions to monitor front-line performance and ensure safe operations. This role supports the growth of Revolut's retail credit portfolio by making data-driven decisions on risk-adjusted returns and leading preventive and reactive actions that impact portfolio credit performance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee exposure to retail credit risk across the organization
- Partner with the Risk Modelling team to design, develop, and implement retail credit risk models
- Manage risk appetite through limit calibration and ongoing monitoring
- Maintain key policies, procedures, and controls related to retail credit
- Engage with first-line business teams to identify, monitor, and govern emerging retail credit risks, including new product risk assessments
- Interact with key stakeholders, committees, and regional regulators on material retail credit risk exposures and limit governance
- Quantify risk exposures within the organization while considering stakeholder impact
- Protect the company from excessive risk-taking to reduce both short and long-term costs
- Build trust and reputation with external stakeholders and ensure risks remain within appetite
- Identify emerging risks requiring immediate attention or threatening long-term viability
Requirements:
- Experience in consumer credit risk within financial institutions, banks, asset management, payment institutions, or related services
- Knowledge of key lending products such as credit cards, personal loans, buy now-pay later, and/or mortgages
- Quantitative background in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics), statistics, economics, or related fields
- Fluency in English
Nice to Have:
- Experience in second line of defence (risk) functions
- Programming skills in Python, R, and/or SQL
