Revolut is a global fintech company on a mission to give people more from their money through products spanning spending, saving, investing, exchanging, and travel. With 80+ million customers and 13,000+ employees worldwide, the company is scaling rapidly and seeking a Retail Credit Risk Manager to support growth of its retail credit portfolio.
In this role, you will oversee exposure to retail credit risk and make data-driven decisions on risk-adjusted return requirements. You'll lead both preventive and reactive actions that directly impact portfolio credit performance and profitability. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing exposure to retail credit risk across the organization
- Collaborating with the Risk Modelling team to design, develop, and implement retail credit risk models
- Managing risk appetite through limit calibration and continuous monitoring
- Maintaining key policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and safety
- Engaging with first-line business teams to identify, monitor, and govern emerging retail credit risks, including new product risk assessments
- Engaging with key stakeholders, committees, and regional regulators on material retail credit risk exposures and limit governance
- Quantifying risk exposures across the organization while considering stakeholder impact
- Protecting the company from excessive risk-taking to reduce both short and long-term costs
- Building trust and reputation with external stakeholders and ensuring risks remain within appetite
- Identifying emerging risks that require immediate attention or could threaten long-term viability
This is a second-line risk role within a fast-growing fintech operating across multiple regions and products. You will work cross-functionally with product, business, and regulatory teams to shape how Revolut manages credit risk as it scales.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in consumer credit risk within financial institutions, banks, asset management, payment institutions, or related services
- Knowledge of key lending products such as credit cards, personal loans, buy now-pay later, and/or mortgages
- Quantitative background in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics), statistics, economics, or related fields
- Fluency in English
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience in second line of defence (risk) functions
- Programming skills in Python, R, and/or SQL
