Salary: USD 191,000 - 253,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Imaging team develops state-of-the-art infrared imaging systems deployed to address critical security challenges. You will implement and deploy core real-time image processing software for infrared imaging systems, ensuring rapid fielding of new technologies to embedded and SWAP-limited hardware while maintaining secure integration into complex defense systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Configure Linux-based operating systems and develop terminal-based software
- Become an expert in Nix and NixOS, helping define and implement NixOS-based embedded systems
- Develop deep understanding of infrared sensor systems and existing image processing software
- Contribute to real-time, high-bandwidth processing pipelines in C++ and/or CUDA
- Define and implement test and simulation environments using software- and hardware-in-the-loop methodologies
- Support end-to-end system delivery from design through manufacturing, deployment, and sustainment
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on challenging problems in a fast-paced environment
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of professional C++ software development experience with GIT, JIRA, and CI/CD systems
- Experience developing low-latency, high-throughput software on Linux-based systems, including system utilities and basic configuration
- Familiarity with graphics programming or image processing
- Experience testing and debugging firmware on hardware platforms
- Knowledge of software infrastructure fundamentals including networking, security, and distributed systems
- Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies and frameworks
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and produce detailed technical documentation
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance
PREFERRED:
- Experience configuring Linux operating systems and Linux kernel development
- Experience with multiple programming languages (C, Rust, Python, etc.)
- Experience in connectivity and high-performance networking software development
- Nix/NixOS experience
- Active Secret U.S. security clearance
