The company simplifies cross-border business by removing friction from financial workflows—including global payments, compliance, multi-currency management, workforce management, working capital, and business intelligence.
You will lead an R&D team within the Enterprise group, taking a hands-on technical leadership role while managing and nurturing talent. Your responsibilities include:
**Team Leadership & Collaboration**: Lead team objectives and collaborate across Architects, DevOps, SRE, and other R&D teams to ensure seamless communication and workflow. Translate high-level business goals into actionable project plans.
**Technical Architecture & Development**: Design and implement robust, scalable, maintainable backend solutions for complex payment scenarios. Contribute significantly to the design, architecture, development, quality, and production deployment of team systems.
**Engineering Excellence**: Lead by example in code quality, conduct thorough code reviews, and maintain high engineering standards. Identify and implement technological improvements and process enhancements.
**Production & Reliability**: Oversee production systems, investigate potential issues, and lead resolution of critical challenges. Leverage deep technical expertise in infrastructure to build and maintain scalable, reliable, secure systems.
**Leadership Under Pressure**: Exhibit calm, effective leadership when diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues. Mentor new hires and interns, fostering a culture of collaboration and best practices.
**Requirements**:
- 10+ years as a server-side developer using Java, C#, .NET, and REST APIs
- 5+ years with SQL databases (MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- 2+ years with observability systems (Dynatrace, Grafana, Coralogix, etc.)
- 3+ years of managerial experience leading customer-facing product development (essential)
- Experience with messaging queues/streams (RabbitMQ, SQS, Kafka)
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and design patterns
- Familiarity with engineering best practices (unit tests, code reviews, test coverage, agile methodologies)
- B.E./BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree
- Strong team player with passion for managing and nurturing talent
- Eager to learn and grow
**Nice to Have**:
- Kubernetes familiarity
- Agile development methodologies experience
- Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Non-relational database experience (MongoDB, Redis)
- Mentoring experience with new hires and interns
