Salary: CAD 80,750 - 95,000 / annual
Robinhood is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its Toronto office and support high-impact product launches across iOS, Android, and Web platforms. You will own the quality of new features throughout the development cycle, from test planning and strategy definition to execution and feedback loops.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing comprehensive test strategies for P0 product launches, covering both frontend and backend validation
- Performing manual and automated testing with a focus on end-to-end functionality and user experience
- Automating mobile and web E2E test cases using industry-standard tools
- Building test coverage that reflects real user scenarios, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing
- Partnering with cross-functional teams and contractor resources on regression test cycles
- Serving as a critical quality checkpoint to ensure customer experience standards are met
This is a hybrid role requiring in-person attendance at least 3 days per week at the Toronto office. You will work in a fast-paced, high-performing environment where quality is embedded into the product development process and ethics are central to decision-making.
Requirements:
- Proven experience testing mobile (iOS/Android) and web applications in fast-paced product environments
- Strong understanding of QA principles, test case development, and test execution
- Hands-on experience with UI automation tools such as Appium, Selenium, or Playwright
- Comfort with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java) and test infrastructure tools
- Familiarity with bug tracking (e.g., Jira) and test case management tools (e.g., TestRail)
- Excellent communication skills, user empathy, and detail-oriented mindset
