Scopely, a leading mobile games publisher (home to MONOPOLY GO!, Pokémon GO, Stumble Guys, and others), is hiring a QA Engineer to join the Royal Casino team in Bangalore on a hybrid basis.
You will be responsible for writing, maintaining, and executing comprehensive test cases for studio games across mobile platforms (Android, iOS, Kindle) and web, covering a majority of devices and browsers. Your day-to-day work includes conducting functional and non-functional testing of desktop and mobile applications, analyzing network data and logs, and working closely with scrum teams, producers, and QA leads to ensure submissions meet high quality standards.
You will actively communicate with developers and business stakeholders to conduct defect triage and reduce defect age, provide root cause analysis with corrective and preventive action plans, and work in an agile environment to ensure timely product delivery. You'll identify tradeoffs and risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, maintain detailed understanding of studio games and corner cases, and prepare test documentation to improve application quality.
The team is distributed globally with hubs in Bengaluru, Tel Aviv, Barcelona, and other locations, working on games with 30M+ downloads.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience in software testing
- Passionate about gaming; must enjoy playing casual games
- Good understanding of client-server architecture
- Familiarity with web and mobile platforms from QA perspective
- Experienced in test design and execution techniques
- Experience with tools such as Charles Proxy, Firebug, Fiddler, Jira, Test Rail, Crashlytics
- Ability to write QA documentation (test cases, trainings, test plans)
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts
- Strong exploratory testing skills
- Knowledge to apply the right level of testing approach
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
