Latitude is seeking a Prompt Engineer to design, create, and refine prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs). In this role, you will employ advanced techniques to guide and enhance model responses, developing effective AI interactions through proficient programming and utilization of experimental playgrounds.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Designing and optimizing prompts tailored for LLMs to achieve desired outputs
- Engaging in prompt refinement activities that improve model response quality
- Developing effective interactions with AI systems by leveraging programming skills
- Testing and optimizing prompt performance in various experimental environments
- Performing independently while becoming a subject matter expert (SME) in prompt engineering
- Actively participating in team discussions and contributing solutions to work-related problems
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate prompt engineering solutions into broader AI projects
- Continuously monitoring and evaluating prompt effectiveness to identify improvement areas
- Documenting prompt design processes and sharing knowledge to support team learning and development
- Working with large datasets and managing prompt variations for diverse use cases
This is an individual contributor role based at the Hyderabad office, with expectations to grow into an SME role while maintaining strong collaborative relationships across teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Prompt Engineering
- Proficiency in Prompt Engineering (must-have)
- Experience with natural language processing techniques and understanding of language model architectures
- Ability to write and optimize code for prompt testing and iteration
- Familiarity with AI playgrounds and environments used for prompt experimentation
- Strong analytical skills to assess model responses and refine prompts accordingly
- Capability to work with large datasets and manage prompt variations for diverse use cases
- 15 years of full-time education required
