Anduril Industries is seeking a Program Manager to lead the Copperhead product family—high-speed, small-diameter undersea autonomous vehicles for critical commercial and defense missions. You will oversee a major program and associated development activities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where small empowered teams deliver cutting-edge maritime capabilities from concept to deployment in months. You will manage the execution of customer-funded efforts, lead an immediate team of 3–6 engineers, and drive program requirements, system architecture definition, design, build, test, and execution. Key responsibilities include: • Oversee a high-profile Copperhead product program and ensure alignment with company and division growth objectives. • Lead a team of 3–6 engineers focused on program requirements, system architecture, design, build, test, and delivery. • Develop, run, and maintain Cost–Schedule–Performance tracking for direct-funded programs in concert with Navy program offices and stakeholders. • Support detailed scoping and planning to drive design, build, and deployment of vehicles within the Copperhead portfolio. • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with critical service and program office stakeholders to ensure successful milestone completions and drive programs from prototyping into production. • Collaborate with growth and engineering leads to develop coordinated approaches to new business opportunities across Anduril's defense customer base. • Lead formal testing efforts by identifying strategic initiatives, estimating resources, and supporting mobilization logistics; coordinate test execution with third-party vendors and partners. • Foster a culture of ownership, trust, open communications, customer focus, innovation, and continuous improvement. • Travel to support customer meetings and testing approximately 15–30% of the time. REQUIREMENTS: • Proven strategic program leadership with demonstrated experience in leading product development (hardware and software), with emphasis on the US Navy as customer. • Demonstrated knowledge in defense acquisitions; history of zero-to-one defense program growth is a plus. • Experience in the technical, programmatic, and operational challenges of developing and deploying autonomous weapon systems. • Experience with government business development, government contract structures, and government proposal processes. • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and concurrent projects. • High-energy, high-ownership leader who drives performance and exhibits strong management skills with high emotional intelligence. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial, and creative environment; ability to build, adapt, and implement new and innovative approaches to market. • Excellent writing and communication skills with experience briefing senior executives and customers. • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • 7+ years of relevant Program Management, Acquisitions, or Resource Sponsor experience in government and/or private sector. • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field with passion for robotics and/or system development. • Intimate understanding of government contracting, fielding, and requirements generation for transitioning prototype capabilities to production.
