Salary: USD 170,000 - 200,000 / annual
Farsight AI is an agentic AI platform for financial services that helps investment banks and private equity firms automate complex workflows. The company is seeking a Professional Services Engineer to serve as the technical expert responsible for deploying Farsight across customer environments—whether Farsight-hosted VPC, customer cloud, or on-premise.
In this role, you will lead end-to-end technical delivery of customer deployments from kickoff through production go-live. You will partner directly with customers' IT, security, and infrastructure teams to scope, architect, and approve deployments while navigating enterprise security, compliance, and change control requirements. You will support pre-sales technical scoping, including dataflow diagrams, architecture documentation, and responses to security questionnaires, reducing the burden on engineering and leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading technical delivery across VPC, customer cloud, and on-premise deployment models
- Partnering with customer IT and security teams on architecture review, network topology, identity/access, and data flows
- Supporting pre-sales scoping and technical feasibility assessment
- Building and maintaining deployment automation using infrastructure-as-code (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Designing runbooks, reference architectures, and onboarding playbooks
- Troubleshooting deployment and integration issues in customer environments
- Serving as the internal voice of the customer, surfacing deployment friction and requirements to inform product roadmap
- Supporting post-deployment health, monitoring, upgrades, and change control coordination
You will operate independently, manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously, and work in a customer-facing capacity that requires strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with senior stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, DevOps, solutions architecture, or professional services/consulting with strong customer-facing component
- Deep knowledge of AWS services (ECS, EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, CloudWatch, RDS, IAM, SSM, VPC networking) and production workload deployment experience
- Strong proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience deploying software into enterprise or regulated customer environments, including security reviews, network restrictions, and formal change control
- Solid understanding of cloud security and compliance frameworks (SOC2, GDPR, ISO) and ability to engage credibly with security/compliance teams
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex infrastructure to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to operate independently with limited structure and manage multiple engagements without existing playbooks
- Ability to write clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and runbooks
- NYC-based and able to work onsite with willingness to travel to customer sites
ABOVE AND BEYOND:
- Prior experience in professional services, solutions architecture, or forward-deployed role at cloud provider or enterprise software company
- Experience deploying software into on-premise or air-gapped environments
- Experience with customer cloud deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Experience deploying infrastructure for generative AI or machine learning workloads
- Experience in financial services or other heavily regulated industries
