Campus Ink is seeking an experienced Production & Manufacturing Manager to oversee and enhance manufacturing operations. You will work closely with the Director of Manufacturing to ensure production runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high quality standards and profitability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating with the Director of Manufacturing to establish and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly production objectives to employees
- Organizing workflows by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
- Documenting existing production processes and controls, then creating and enhancing processes to improve efficiency and consistency
- Installing lean manufacturing principles and assisting with new automation and workflow development
- Overseeing and coaching production employees
- Ensuring safe equipment use and scheduling regular maintenance
- Monitoring production output against specifications
- Optimizing day-to-day activities while minimizing costs
You will be a detailed note-taker with the ability to analyze processes, identify improvements, document new procedures, and work with employees to implement them. This is a fast-paced role requiring competence in complex operations and strong problem-solving abilities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as Production Assistant Manager or similar role
- Ability to work on-site in Urbana, Illinois daily
- Excellent note-taking skills and process documentation abilities
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Problem-solving skills
- High School Diploma required; degree in management, technical, engineering, or relevant field preferred
