Thesis is building an AI-powered care team platform that combines AI agents with clinical experts to scale clinical capacity and improve healthcare delivery. The company is NYC-based, rapidly growing, and backed by $60M in funding from Oak HC/FT, CRV, Black Opal Ventures, and experienced healthtech angels.
You will be the technical owner for existing client deployments, responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, implementing client-specific customizations, and shipping fixes end-to-end. This is a hands-on engineering role that bridges support and product development.
Key responsibilities:
- Own client issue resolution across frontend, backend services, integrations, and data flows from first report through production verification
- Implement client-specific configurations, workflow changes, and bug fixes in TypeScript/Node.js and React codebases
- Debug across the full stack using logs, monitoring, database queries, and test environments, including EHR integrations and AI/LLM features
- Act as the technical point of contact for clients, communicating status and root cause clearly, escalating with full context when needed
- Identify patterns in client requests and advocate for product improvements; build internal tools and automations to reduce repeat work
- Create and maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and internal documentation
- Handle client and patient data in compliance with HIPAA and company security practices
You will work closely with the core engineering team and help shape how Thesis supports clients as the company scales.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, support engineer, or solutions engineer on production B2B SaaS
- Hands-on coding ability: comfort reading and modifying existing codebases, with working experience in TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, and React (Python is a plus)
- Strong troubleshooting instincts across web apps, APIs, and cloud infrastructure; solid SQL (Postgres preferred) for investigating data issues
- Experience with RESTful or RPC-based APIs, AWS or similar cloud platforms, logging/monitoring tools, and ticketing systems (Linear, Jira, Zendesk, Pylon)
- Track record of working directly with customers, managing escalations calmly, and owning issues until fully resolved
- Familiarity with LLM-based products and interest in using AI tools to debug and resolve issues faster
- Healthcare experience or working with sensitive data in regulated environments (HIPAA, PHI) is a plus; strong interest in learning healthcare workflows and integrations is expected
- Ability to explain technical root causes and fixes clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
- Based in New York and available to work in-office approximately 3 days per week
