Conveo is a Y Combinator-backed, Series A-funded company (raised $50M led by DST Global) building AI-powered infrastructure for continuous consumer understanding. The company is in active growth, expanding from ~20 to ~120 people by year end. Global brands like Unilever, Google, and P&G use Conveo to catch consumer shifts before competitors do. The Internal Apps Engineering team builds products that give Conveo employees maximum leverage. This small team (currently two engineers) creates opinionated internal tools including full applications (CRM, account management, recruitment), AI agents that run across the business, and workflow automation tooling. You would be the third engineer on this team. In this role, you will own the full stack of internal tools from interface to infrastructure. You'll build applications the team uses daily, working backwards from user problems rather than specs. Your scope includes React and Slack interfaces built in TypeScript, API and MCP design, infrastructure on Vercel, AWS, Supabase, and BigQuery, plus AI-powered agents using LLM APIs and prompt engineering. You'll be embedded in the teams you serve—sales, customer success, recruitment, operations—holding weekly one-on-ones with actual users, interpreting their needs, and translating feedback into scoped decisions. You'll be the engineering voice advocating for what gets built and how. The role is AI-first: you'll reach for agentic solutions first, using AI to reason, build, review, and test at every stage. Because these are internal tools with immediate feedback loops, you can lean on AI more aggressively than external products, with a bias toward speed and learning. Conveo offers offices in London, Antwerp, and New York with a 3-day-per-week in-office expectation. The company provides competitive salary, meaningful equity, private health coverage, enhanced pension contributions, regular team socials, and twice-yearly off-sites. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of experience building applications or tooling that automate human workflows - Full-stack experience: API design, databases, async workflows and background jobs on the backend, clean user-friendly UX on the frontend - AI-native mindset: early adopter of AI tooling (agentic coding, software factories), hands-on experience with prompt engineering and LLM APIs - Extensive client-facing experience turning customer problems into solutions people actually adopt - Proven track record leading projects from concept to launch - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with attention to detail - Collaborative mindset, able to work autonomously in a small, fast-paced team BONUS: - Deep affinity with sales, customer success, recruitment, or operations domains - Experience at a small, fast-moving SaaS company - Production experience with TypeScript and Node.js
