Fluidstack is building civilization-scale AI compute infrastructure, acquiring power, designing and operating data centers at gigawatt scale. The company is singularly focused on delivering compute faster than anyone else by rethinking every layer of the stack.
As a Product Engineer on the Decision Team, you will own end-to-end software systems that automate the delivery of AI infrastructure from land to live compute. You'll work on five major problem areas:
1. Build scheduling systems that run the portfolio: create template schedules per building type, instantiate them per project, tie every activity to materials consumed, and automatically generate need-by dates for critical components like switchgear and transformers. Schedule slips should automatically reprice the procurement calendar.
2. Turn construction sites into structured data: capture work packages, contractor field entries, rack placements, cable runs, and QA inspections as records tied to design revisions. Compute percent-complete from evidence rather than reports, and show customers delivered-vs-committed without manual deck assembly.
3. Ship change orders as workflow software: draft scope, cost, and schedule impact from design deltas, route through legal and finance with approval trails, and automatically update bill of materials and schedules upon signature.
4. Make design the source of truth: ingest building information models into bill of materials with reviewable diffs on revisions, generate submittal requirements per spec section, and maintain one canonical record for sites, buildings, and data halls.
5. Ship commissioning as software: generate test procedures per asset from design revisions, capture results as evidence, implement energization gates that self-check, and enable handover on proof rather than signature.
You will work alongside quality managers, sourcing leads, and deployment engineers on factory floors and sites, turning their judgment into systems that scale across the portfolio. The company operates with full autonomy, insane urgency, first-principles reasoning, and a focus on problems that matter to the world.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Shipped production code in Go, Python, or TypeScript; ability to pick up whatever language the problem demands
- Built real features on LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-weight models), MCP servers, and agentic frameworks
- Daily work with AI coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor; experience getting agents to do useful autonomous work
- Ability to identify problems, design solutions, and ship without waiting for direction or approval
- Track record of moving fast under deadline while building foundations others can extend
- Credibility with people who build physical things (construction leads, field engineers, schedulers, commissioning agents) and proven ability to drive software adoption in their real deadlines
- Product taste demonstrated in shipped work: interfaces field crews find obvious, workflows matching actual work processes
- Bonus: construction tech, project controls (P6, schedule engines, critical path), BIM/IFC/Revit, commissioning/BMS/EPMS/controls protocols, document control and submittal workflows, graph data models, computer vision on site imagery
