Maze is building AI-powered cybersecurity solutions at the intersection of generative AI and enterprise security. As a Product Engineer (Full Stack), you will own the complete technical stack—from React UI to Python/FastAPI backend—for customer-facing features, operating with high autonomy and startup velocity as one of the early engineering team members.
You will take end-to-end ownership of feature development from concept through production, building both the elegant UI components that security teams interact with daily and the robust API infrastructure powering them. You'll craft user experiences using React, TypeScript, TailwindCSS, and the TanStack ecosystem (Router, Query, Table), while designing and maintaining performant REST APIs using Python/FastAPI. You'll drive autonomous execution—identifying what needs building, making technical decisions quickly, and shipping without waiting for perfect requirements. You'll also optimize application performance across the stack (database queries, front-end rendering) and contribute to architectural planning as the team scales.
Success is measured by delivery velocity, product quality, autonomous execution, and customer experience—not process adherence. This role is ideal for a hands-on full stack engineer who has thrived in fast-paced B2B SaaS environments, values independence and ownership, and wants to build something extraordinary with a modern tech stack from the ground up.

You'll work on solving pressing cybersecurity challenges using LLMs and AI agents, helping security teams protect organizations worldwide from real threats.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years building production applications with strong, genuine expertise in both front-end (50%) and back-end development (50%)—not primarily one with dabbling in the other
- Deep, hands-on experience with TypeScript and React (or other modern component-based frameworks) in production, including component architecture, performance optimization, and modern patterns
- Proven track record building performant RESTful APIs with server-side frameworks, designing scalable API architectures, optimizing endpoint performance, and building maintainable backend services
- Direct experience in B2B SaaS product companies building features for business users, understanding enterprise product development and customer-facing applications
- Strong understanding of database interactions and query optimization—instinctively knowing when queries might scale poorly and how to structure data access for performance
- Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with bias for action; comfortable making pragmatic technical decisions quickly without perfect specs
- Exceptional balance of moving fast while caring deeply about customer experience and code quality
- Comfortable working autonomously and owning work end-to-end, while collaborating effectively with designers, product managers, and other engineers

- Experience integrating LLMs into applications
