Tacto is building an AI-powered procurement intelligence platform for manufacturing companies across Europe. The company connects the digital world of engineering with the physical world of manufacturing, helping procurement and engineering teams move beyond Excel-based processes. With 300+ industrial customers and backing from Sequoia and Index, Tacto is the category leader in DACH and rapidly expanding.
In this Product Engineer role, you will own problems end-to-end—from identifying what's worth solving through shipping to production and driving revenue impact. You'll talk directly with customers, build across the full stack, and ship features that real procurement and engineering teams use daily. This is a "Builder" role, meaning you won't wait for PRDs or hand off work at merge; you own outcomes from conception through revenue generation.
You'll work in a high-agency environment where you decide what's worth doing, make the case for it, test risky assumptions early, and see initiatives through to payoff. The engineering practice emphasizes wearing the customer's shoes, shipping fast while finishing fully, sweating details, and improving 1% every week. You'll leverage AI (Cursor, Claude, Codex, agents) as a force multiplier, not a crutch.
The tech stack includes Python (FastAPI, async, SQL), PostgreSQL, ClickHouse on the backend; React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, Storybook on the frontend; and GitHub, Linear, Figma for collaboration. You'll work in the Munich office four days per week alongside 100+ builders in a high-trust, direct-feedback culture that measures outcomes, not hours.
Tacto's mission resonates with European industrial strength: manufacturing drives 25% of Europe's GDP and 30% of jobs, yet procurement—which determines over 50% of product cost—still runs on legacy systems. By connecting AI to the physical world of manufacturing, Tacto is building critical infrastructure for Europe's economic resilience.
