Abode Money is building the first financial manager for homeowners, helping them save money on property taxes, insurance, mortgages, and more. The company uses AI to transform traditionally service-based work into software, targeting an 80M+ homeowner market. Abode has raised $25M from top-tier investors including Sequoia, Permanent, and Drive.
As a Product Engineer, you'll be the most AI-focused role at the company—equally product, design, and engineering. You'll work directly with the CEO and growth team, building new products and features from concept to production in days. Your responsibilities include:
- Launch new products, features, and flows rapidly (MVPs in days), spanning insurance, mortgages, and emerging opportunities
- Ship code daily and convert funnel ideas into production tests at speed
- Own both product and design decisions end-to-end: decide what to build, design the user flow, and make UX calls independently
- Leverage AI across the full stack to accelerate development and mentor the team on AI tooling and approaches
- Instrument and measure everything you build, using data to inform the next iteration

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years shipping consumer-facing products
- Strong proficiency with React, TypeScript, and modern backend technologies
- Demonstrated use of AI in nearly everything you build; comfort testing new AI tools
- Product and design taste; care about how the product feels to end users
- Background as a founder or early-stage engineer with a track record of owning outcomes
- Based in Austin or willing to relocate; commitment to 5-day in-office work
