Multiplier Holdings is a VC-backed startup that acquires and scales professional services firms through AI and automation, operating in regulated verticals like tax and corporate accounting. The Corporate Accounting Pod works with a growing portfolio of firms across the UK, APAC, and North America to integrate AI-native workflows into their processes, serving over 7 firms daily.
You will define and drive the design vision for AI-native accounting and business tools, splitting time roughly 40/60 between building new products (0→1) and refining and scaling existing products (1→10). You'll work closely with product, engineering, and accounting firms to understand pain points through customer discovery, then rapidly explore, prototype, and iterate on solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Turning complex financial workflows into intuitive experiences where AI does the work and humans manage and steer
- Designing across Slack, email, Excel, and the web, including MCP surfaces that clients' own agents use
- Combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution, from working prototypes to polished production interfaces
- Designing directly in code using tools like Claude Code and Codex (the design system lives in code, not Figma)
- Growing and documenting the shared design system so engineers and AI coding agents can apply it consistently
- Conducting customer discovery to understand real pain points and translate them into practical solutions
- Defining what good AI output looks like to an accountant and translating that into evals and feedback loops
Example workflows you might design include agent workflows that prepare monthly management accounts, VAT/GST and annual account automations, R&D tax assistants that draft evidence-linked claims, intelligent inboxes that link emails and Slack messages to clients and jobs, and profitability/capacity planning tools that generate insights for firm leaders.
You'll be based in Singapore and report to the Design Lead. The role requires occasional international travel to visit firms in the UK, APAC, or North America, or for team off-sites.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of product design experience
- Proven experience as both a 0→1 and 1→10 designer: built products from scratch and thrive in ambiguity; also taken live products through adoption, iteration, and scale
- Own end-to-end design work from ideation to polished developer handoffs
- Strong visual design skills with sharp taste and design judgment; ability to bring typography, layout, interaction, and motion together into cohesive, considered products
- AI-native work style: use AI tools daily, shipped at least one AI or agentic product, understand where models fail and design for it
- Technically curious and fluent in design tools and code; understand how products are built, experiment with new design/prototyping workflows, use AI coding tools to build prototypes and open pull requests for production front-end changes
- Self-driven and autonomous; can motivate yourself and steer your own path with minimal oversight
- Deeply collaborative; enjoy working closely with engineers and product people
- Customer obsessed, especially with non-tech-savvy users doing complex work who must trust AI output
- Proactive with feedback; adapt well across tech and accounting cultures
- Open to occasional international travel
- Must already be based in or eligible to work in Singapore (no relocation support offered)
- Portfolio required with shipped work, thinking behind it, and any code-based prototypes or AI products
