Join Mendix's Cloud Unit within Siemens Digital Industries Software as a Product Designer. You'll work on a new agentic platform that simplifies cloud deployment, operations, and governance for enterprise customers. This role sits at the intersection of product design and AI, where you'll collaborate with product managers, technical leads, and developers to frame problems, validate ideas, and deliver well-crafted user experiences—including novel interactions between people and AI agents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with product and technical teams to discover and frame problems, challenge assumptions, and explore opportunities in cloud administration and AI-assisted workflows.
- Create concepts and functional prototypes using AI-assisted coding tools to explore behaviors, test assumptions, and support product decisions.
- Conduct concept-validation sessions and usability tests with Research Ops support, focusing on user understanding, task success, and error recovery.
- Deliver detailed UI and interaction designs, including how users guide, review, and correct AI agents. Apply and improve existing design-system patterns.
- Work closely with developers through implementation and conduct design QA to ensure usability and experience quality.
- Communicate design decisions clearly, share work in progress, and own defined problems with guidance while collaborating on complex challenges.
You'll be part of a design team working across multiple product and development teams using Figma and AI-assisted tools. Functional prototyping is expected; production coding is not. The role is hybrid, with arrangements agreed within the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2–5 years of relevant product design experience and a design degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong UX, interaction, and UI design skills, with experience using design systems.
- Hands-on experience using AI in research and design workflows and building functional prototypes with AI-assisted coding tools.
- Experience validating concepts, testing usability, and collaborating with product managers and developers.
- Initiative, comfort with ambiguity, and willingness to challenge assumptions and learn from feedback.
- Clear written and spoken English, with the ability to articulate ideas and explain design decisions.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience designing AI-powered or human–agent experiences.
- Experience with B2B SaaS, enterprise software, cloud platforms, deployment, operations, or governance.
