Tactile Games, one of Denmark's largest gaming companies founded in 2008, is seeking a Product Designer to join their Core team in Copenhagen. The Core team builds internal tools that power Tactile's LiveOps, Marketing, and Data operations—business-critical systems that every team at the studio depends on.
You will be the second Product Designer on the team, working alongside Joy (existing designer) and a team of engineers to design complex, data-heavy internal tools including dashboards, large tables, multi-step workflows, and advanced filtering systems.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Research, design, and prototype interfaces for internal tools, delivering working prototypes to developers
- Collaborate with internal teams to simplify and optimize their workflows
- Use AI tools (Claude Code, agentic workflows) to explore, iterate, and prototype efficiently while maintaining full responsibility for design decisions
- Contribute to and evolve the design system and processes
- Work cross-functionally with Product Managers, Frontend/Backend engineers, Artists, and Game Programmers—the team prioritizes end-product quality over design operations
- Optionally contribute directly via pull requests to improve designs and UX without waiting for developer implementation
Design philosophy: The team prototypes first in code rather than relying on static mockups, uses AI to amplify design capability (not replace it), and is inspired by design approaches from Vercel, Linear, and GitHub. Quality is non-negotiable.
Tactile is a diverse studio of 350+ people across 50+ nationalities, with 43% women. The company emphasizes a lean organizational culture that avoids crunch, fosters skill development, and encourages creative collaboration.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience designing technical B2B products: dashboards, tables, filters, and dense interfaces
- Product-focused mindset; thrive working across disciplines
- Comfortable contributing directly to projects via pull requests to improve designs/UX
- Experience designing with Claude Code or similar agentic tools
- Genuine openness to agentic workflows without dismissing AI-assisted design
- Comfort prototyping in code, or strong drive to learn
- Sharp eye for design craft, quality, and candor about what isn't good enough
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with Figma or Figma Make
- Programming background, comfortable with frontend code
- Familiarity with shadcn, Untitled UI, or similar SaaS UI libraries
