Ophelia is a venture-backed telehealth startup providing FDA-approved medication and clinical care for opioid use disorder (OUD) across 16 states. As a Senior Product Analyst, you will be the analytical partner for all three product squads, turning data into decisions that shape how Ophelia measures success and understands patient needs.
You will lead experimentation across product teams, partnering with product managers, engineers, and designers to shape hypotheses, design tests, monitor them in flight, and deliver clear readouts. You'll design and maintain product metrics including success metrics, guardrails, and leading indicators for each squad, building trusted dashboards in Lightdash. You'll deliver deep-dive analyses on patient and clinician behavior—funnels, engagement, retention, outcomes—and when randomized tests aren't possible, apply quasi-experimental methods like diff-in-diff, propensity score matching, and synthetic controls to get to the best available answer.
You'll study and share outcomes and learnings with squad teams, leadership, and large-format meetings, turning complex analyses into clear stories and recommendations that drive action. A key part of your role is ensuring a patient-centered focus by pairing quantitative analysis with qualitative signals from FullStory sessions, user research, and feedback. You'll partner with the Data Council and Data Analysts/Analytics Engineers to improve instrumentation, data quality, shared definitions, and analytics tooling. You'll also stay current with industry trends, emerging methods, and best practices in product analytics and experimentation, networking beyond Ophelia and sharing learnings with the team.
The technology team is small but mighty, using an agile approach rooted in the Agile Manifesto and growing a strong experiment culture. The analytics stack includes BigQuery, Lightdash, FullStory, and LaunchDarkly; you'll work in SQL, Python, and R. You'll report to Becca Getto, Manager of Product Management, and support all three product squads across Technology broadly.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in product analytics for consumer-oriented digital products, with a track record of driving stellar business outcomes through experimentation and insight
- Excellent statistics with deep, hands-on command of experimentation methods: sample size and power calculations (MDE), variance reduction (e.g., CUPED), sequential and Bayesian approaches, and correcting for common pitfalls such as sample ratio mismatch, novelty effects, and multiple testing
- Comfortable choosing the right parametric or non-parametric test, working with ratio metrics, and applying causal inference methods such as diff-in-diff, propensity score matching, regression discontinuity, and synthetic controls
- Strong technical fluency in SQL and Python or R, with experience in cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery
- Experience with BI tools (Lightdash preferred), session and behavior analytics (FullStory preferred), and feature flagging (LaunchDarkly preferred); experience with Mixpanel or Amplitude also relevant
- Demonstrated ability to build experiment culture, helping teams form strong hypotheses, design tight tests, and ship early iterations to learn quickly
- Stellar communications and data storytelling skills; comfortable presenting analyses to groups of all sizes from squad teams to leadership to large-format meetings
- Customer- and patient-oriented business mindset with ability to translate data into clear understanding of what patients and clinicians need
- Impact orientation with focus on delivering outcomes over outputs
- Passion for the mission to make evidence-based addiction treatment universally accessible; healthcare or telehealth experience is a nice plus
