Harmattan AI is a next-generation defense prime building autonomous and scalable defense systems. The company recently closed a $200M Series B, valuing it at $1.4 billion, and is expanding teams and capabilities to deliver mission-critical systems to allied forces.
As Procurement Manager, you will lead procurement, material planning, and supply readiness to support production schedules as the company scales. You will own the operating mechanisms that translate demand into executable material plans, including Clear to Build (CTB) analysis, MRP execution, and purchase order management. Leading a team of Buyers and Material Planners, you will work closely with Strategic Sourcing, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and suppliers to remove material constraints before they impact manufacturing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing a team of Buyers and Material Planners, setting priorities and providing tools and training for execution
- Owning Clear to Build analysis and translating demand into executable material plans for production
- Identifying material constraints before they impact production and driving cross-functional resolution
- Improving the quality of MRP inputs, including lead times, safety stocks, order policies, MOQ, and planning parameters
- Holding suppliers accountable for delivery performance and driving recovery plans when commitments are at risk
- Representing material readiness in production, S&OP, shortage, and operational review meetings
- Monitoring and reporting key indicators on supplier performance, material availability, and supply risks
- Resolving downstream issues with receiving, finance, and accounting teams
- Maintaining procurement master data in the ERP system and building scalable processes as the company grows
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of supply chain experience in progressive roles, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- 2+ years managing or leading procurement, planning, or materials teams
- Strong practical knowledge of MRP logic, BOM-driven material planning, inventory management, and production supply
- Demonstrated experience developing or operating Clear to Build processes in a manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting NPI, engineering changes, production ramps, and building scalable processes in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a "no task is too small" mentality
- Fluency in French and English with strong cross-functional communication skills and ability to drive action without relying solely on direct authority
