Wiz is a fast-growing cloud and AI security platform trusted by over 65% of the Fortune 100. The company recently became part of Google, leveraging Google's Threat Intelligence and Security Operations to detect, prevent, and respond to threats across all environments.
As a Principal Solutions Engineer, you will serve as a technical thought leader and strategic advisor across the organization. You will work closely with Wiz's CTO, Field CTO, Customer Success, Product Management, and R&D to maintain alignment and drive coordinated efforts throughout the sales process and beyond.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide technical and business-relevant feedback to Product Management based on field engagements, improving Wiz's positioning and value messaging for prospects and clients
- Collaborate with sales teams on strategic opportunities, demonstrating the business and technical value of the Wiz platform
- Assist Solutions Engineers and prospects during proof-of-concept processes with advanced use cases, installation, deployment, and troubleshooting
- Lead regular thought leadership sessions with field teams, sharing insights and approaches derived from customer engagement to improve messaging effectiveness and value delivery
- Assist in messaging and selling Wiz platform capabilities to prospects and customers
This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on elevating the technical narrative and customer success across the organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualifications:
- Strong technical background with solid understanding of core IT, InfoSec, Cloud, and DevOps concepts
- Proven career path focused on public cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience coding and understanding developer workflows (Git, CI/CD, Helm, Terraform, etc.)
- Solid understanding of computer networking concepts with hands-on cloud networking experience
- Ability to lead conversations with technical, business, and executive-level audiences
Preferred qualifications:
- SME-level knowledge of Kubernetes and containers with ability to architect and troubleshoot complex environments
- Hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting various Kubernetes distributions
- Knowledge of Attack Surface Management (ASM) methodologies, network reconnaissance, cloud security, and vulnerability assessment
- Comfortable leading security architecture discussions with various audiences
- Passionate about continuous self-improvement and learning to maintain technical leadership
