As Principal Software Engineer (SIEM), you will shape enterprise technical strategy and company-wide architecture for next-generation security platforms. This is a high-impact role focused on modernizing legacy technologies into scalable, AI-enabled systems while advancing security detection capabilities and improving delivery speed and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the modernization of legacy technologies and features, incorporating AI-enabled capabilities and AI-driven detection into scalable systems
- Apply deep SIEM expertise and knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK techniques to guide security analytics, detection, and response capabilities
- Partner with Directors and Senior Directors to align architecture and engineering priorities with business and market needs
- Establish architectural standards and best practices in collaboration with other Principal engineers
- Mentor and develop Staff and Senior Staff Engineers, strengthening technical leadership across the organization
- Drive improvements in delivery speed through streamlined engineering models, automated validation, and deployment
You will work on a cloud-native platform built for scale and performance, enabling real-time analytics, deep investigation, and automated response. The role combines hands-on technical depth with strategic influence, connecting technical direction to measurable business impact.
Requirements:
- 16+ years of engineering experience, including leadership of complex, large-scale systems
- Proven ability to shape enterprise architecture and technical strategy across teams or products
- Strong hands-on or architectural experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, microservices, DataLake concepts, and LLM models
- Experience with AI-driven development and AIDLC practices
- Experience designing and delivering cloud-based systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Expertise in security and SIEM platforms, with practical knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK techniques
- Demonstrated success modernizing legacy platforms and building scalable, AI-enabled systems and detection capabilities
- Track record of improving delivery speed through streamlined engineering models, automated validation, and deployment
