Graphcore is building the future of AI compute as part of the SoftBank Group. The company develops semiconductor, software, and AI infrastructure for the complete AI compute stack—from silicon and software to datacenter-scale systems.
You will lead the Product Test and Diagnostics (PTD) team to develop System Level Test (SLT) capability for next-generation AI processors. This is a pivotal role that combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of engineers to implement SLT test solutions for multi-die AI processor products
- Work with Silicon, Test, and DFT teams to define manufacturing test solutions
- Partner with industry leaders to develop SLT systems meeting product requirements
- Define and implement DFT strategies for 3D, multi-die products at top and board levels
- Oversee Incoming Quality Inspection (IQC) stage implementation and inter-department coordination
- Design test fixtures including structural and functional test equipment, interface PCBs, sockets, and cooling systems
- Write production, engineering, and characterization test programs on advanced SLT platforms
- Balance test coverage and fault detection across the full test flow: ATE, board, blade, and in-field test
- Correlate test results to bench measurements
- Demonstrate pragmatic, hands-on, and flexible approach in a fast-changing environment
The Product Test and Diagnostics team detects and manages hardware defects from manufacturing and field use across chips, boards, and finished systems.
Requirements:
- Proven background in Functional Test or ATE Test Engineering
- Degree-level qualifications in electronics or related field
- Strong communication skills
- Focus on quality and understanding of production test's impact on product success
Desirable:
- Proven competence on SLT testers
- Experience with thermal control of high-power devices in production environments
