Salary: USD 168,000 - 207,000 / annual

Airbnb's Community Policy team creates and evolves principled policies that establish the rules of the road for guests and hosts across the platform. As Policy Manager for Quality, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams to define quality standards on Airbnb's marketplace and drive the policies that set the bar for hosts and guests. In this role, you will lead policy development for host and guest quality, including Ground Rules and quality standards that define what constitutes an acceptable stay. You will draft clear, scalable policy frameworks that keep pace with product innovation and collaborate extensively with Product, Supply, Community Support, and Legal teams. You will guide policy operationalization efforts, support company quality initiatives with risk mitigation guidance, and proactively use data, research, and community insights to evaluate existing policies and identify improvement opportunities before issues escalate. Your work will directly shape how millions of hosts and guests experience Airbnb and their confidence in the platform. You will enable business and product teams to move quickly and confidently with policy frameworks that hold up at scale, translating strategic business objectives into practical policy solutions. REQUIREMENTS: - 10-12+ years of experience in a Policy or Trust and Safety role - Prior leadership on quality, standards, or community policy, with demonstrated experience defining and enforcing a quality bar at scale - Deep experience with quality or standards policy in a two-sided marketplace - Experience with review, rating, or reputation systems, and understanding of fairness and integrity questions they raise - Experience designing policies for consumer two-sided marketplaces - Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking, research, and analysis - Exceptional writing and communication skills - Fluency in data analysis and data-driven decision-making, including proactively using data to surface policy improvement opportunities - Proven ability to partner with and enable business teams - Experience working in a matrix and driving solutions through cross-functional collaboration - Ability to engage with all levels of leadership, including senior executives - Strong attention to detail and thoughtful business judgment
