Kurtosys is a data and content platform for asset and wealth managers, helping them build and distribute sales, marketing, and client reporting materials. Founded in 2002 and ISO 27001 certified, the company operates from four offices globally.
You will be the senior delivery leader reporting to the Head of Solutions, responsible for shaping how the company runs client projects and leading the project management team. This is a hands-on director role that combines strategic PMO leadership with individual project delivery.
Key responsibilities:
• Own the end-to-end delivery approach, including stage gates, standards, tooling, intake, and prioritization—giving you real influence over what work starts and when.
• Run client projects from kickoff to launch and handover for approximately 50% of your time, staying close to the work and learning the platform and clients deeply in your first few months.
• Lead portfolio commercials: manage scope and change control, track margin and milestone billing, work with finance on statements of work and pricing, and ensure the work delivered aligns with the work contracted.
• Line manage and develop project managers using the company's career ladder; participate in hiring decisions as the team grows.
• Own capacity planning and the mix of internal and partner resources to ensure workloads are planned rather than absorbed.
• Lead client steering committees with senior stakeholders and handle escalations.
Success is measured by on-time, on-scope project delivery; margin recovery against plan; client satisfaction; faster time from contract signature to launch; and an engaged, growing PM team.
This role offers the opportunity to build a PMO from the ground up rather than inherit an existing one, with a direct line to leadership through regular portfolio reporting and access to learning platforms for continued growth.
Requirements:
• 10+ years in project or programme delivery in software or SaaS environments.
• 3+ years leading a team of project managers.
• Proven track record owning portfolio commercials: budgets, margin, change control, and billing.
• Hands-on capacity planning across multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience managing third-party delivery partners or contractors.
• Confidence running steering committees and handling senior escalations.
• Strong communication skills and clear systems for tracking actions, owners, and deadlines.
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Commerce.
• PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, or similar project management certification.
Nice to have:
• Experience setting up or maturing a PMO.
• Agile and hybrid delivery experience.
• Knowledge of asset management, fund data, or regulatory reporting.
• Experience leading teams across locations and time zones.
